I think by this point Valeriya's boss (Colonel/General/"whatever military title is appropriate for someone in his position once I get the necessary research done" Shostakov) needs an actual personality. Bringing someone in who's obviously just there for the characters I actually care about to bounce off of antagonistically doesn't seem fair somehow.

Reminiscences. Still rather plotless. First person, angsty, possibly rather self indulgent, will probably be revised in the future.
